Priorities

Every Tax Dollar Should Work As Hard As You Did To Earn It

Are we better off than we were four years ago? Costs like taxes and utilities are up at record rates while service levels are declining. Residents expect better communication & no surprises about major initiatives. This is what Waterloo residents are telling me.

Your feedback has shaped my priorities for Waterloo. But I’m still listening - and will continue to listen.

I’ll be going door-to-door across Waterloo to continue connecting with residents and businesses. I’m listening to your concerns and understanding where you want to see change. Because you deserve strong leadership that delivers for you.

My priorities for Waterloo

A CITY WE CAN AFFORD

Creating a Waterloo where young people can put down roots, families can thrive & seniors can age in place.

VIBRANT, LOCAL ECONOMY

Strategic partnerships, strong local businesses & more employment opportunities.

RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT

Accessible leadership, reliable city services and accountability to taxpayers.

STRONG, CONNECTED NEIGHBOURHOODS

Safe, thriving communities with great public spaces and opportunities to belong.

“There should be no limitation to our potential for opportunity. We have the talent. Now we need the leadership to match.”

Waterloo is situated on the land traditionally cared for by the Haudenosaunee, Anishnaabe and Chonnonton Peoples. We acknowledge the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge and philosophies of the Indigenous People with whom we share this land today.
